 Sreekrishnan Narayanan, B.Com., MBCS, AIII

Born in the State of Kerala, India as the eldest son of Shri T. K. Narayanan and Smt N. K. Subbalakshmi, I was educated in the city of Ernakulam (Kochi) where I completed my graduation in Commerce with a First Class, awarded by the University of Kerala in the year 1980.

After a 3-year study of law at Government Law College (Evening), Ernakulam, I dropped out without completing the law degree, migrating to the State of Tamilnadu, India.

My career in the General Insurance industry began in 1985 following my employment in National Insurance Company Limited where I worked till August 1996.  During this period, I successfully completed the Licentiate Examination conducted by the Insurance Institute of India and all-but one of the Associateship Examination papers under Marine Branch.  In 1998, I moved to Dubai, UAE where I got employed with Insco LLC, one of the leading Insurance Brokers and Consultants in the UAE, as Claims Supervisor.  In 2002, with merger of the Company with another leading Insurance Broker in the country to form Marsh Insco LLC, I took charge of the Information Technology Department as IT Manager. I had been co-ordinating all IT tasks across the Middle East region of MMC Companies and discharging responsibilities of the Chief Information Officer for the region.

Since November 2008, I worked with the Facultative Reinsurance Practice of the Company on a special assignment, from the IT perspective.  Eventually, I switched over from the realm of Technology to Reinsurance Operations, currently working as the Placement Manager.  However, I have been striving to preserve my passion for IT notwithstanding the pressure of work involved in the Facultative Reinsurance operations.  In 2010, I completed my Associateship Examination (Marine Branch) of the Insurance Institute of India.

" The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can't find them, make them."
